Do any of y’all have any uncommon, unpopular, interesting, divisive build practices that you do that others might find weird or maybe just possibly they’ll have an epiphany? For me, I like LCI extractors “I know right, boooo!!!” … But seriously though, I can actually tell the difference between one in the chamber and empty. Now listen I know when my firearms are put away loaded and when they aren’t. I perform press checks and follow all firearm safety rules. However when I go to take them out I almost always touch the LCI to see if my firearm is loaded or not. I see it as a redundancy safety/security thing. It’s like putting a sticker on an electrical box that says High Voltage. Like duh it’s electricity of course that shit will zap my ass, still nice to see the warning though. I have some more to share, but can’t wait to see what others have to say first.

When I’m doing my themed builds I always incorporate that theme in my environment while I’m building as well. When I did the custom stuff to my “DeadPool” build I was watching the DeadPool movies and wearing some Swag, even had a bobble head on my workspace. When I did “Murder Hornet” with/for my buddy we were watching “Bee Movie” And when I was doing my most recent build I was watching ______ _________ and wearing some swag.

I'm totally CDO, so I save every box, jig, baggie, etc. They all get neatly packaged back in the P80 box, labeled withe the build #, and stacked neatly in order. When I'm all done building, I'll make a foam cutout to fit inside the P80 box for the finished piece. Yeah, I'm also shopping for a new safe to hold this monstrosity of an addiction.
by Hawkeye » Thu May 19, 2022 12:47 pm I never put a gun in the safe unless it has been checked and unloaded. I carry a Springfield 911 380 that has a LCI that I check all the time before I carry just to make sure it is chambered and safety on before I put it on every morning and every night when it comes off and put on my dresser. I like the LCI and use them on some of my P-80s but it's not a big deal because I range shoot them. They are never loaded till range time. It is not that I wouldn't carry a P-80, its they are heaver then my 380. I don't like my paint falling down, I don't think that most people don't want to see my paint down ether.
