I really like Tyrant's parts. Been using their slide plate and slide release exclusively. Unfortunately, the last two slide releases I purchased ended up not working. There's no spring tension once installed. It caused consistent malfunctions with my SCT-19 until I put an OEM slide release in it. I just tested with my latest project (more to come) and I had the same issue. I don't mind the OEM extended slide release, but the Tyrant one just looks better IMO. And it's beefier. I emailed Tyrant just to make them aware of the issues and to tell them I'm going to try another one because I really do enjoy their parts. I received an email back yesterday with an apology for the bad parts and they also acknowledged that they are aware of the issue and are working on a replacement for the current design. They also told me that they will be sending me two new slide releases once they're ready! Very cool and unexpected.

I didn't think of swapping springs!
I had an issue with a bad slide release from them a while back and I reached out and they sent me a new one with what was visually a thicker spring on it and it works great. I then took a spring off of an oem slide release and fixed the other one I had from them. And I 💯 agree that they just feel better and work better than others I’ve tried.
