I listened to a few podcasts, and liked what I heard, so I thought I'd drop by and say hi. I'm still learning about this stuff, but I hope I also can contribute.
I'm currently working on a "Han Solo" manually-operated AR-15 pistol (cut-down bolt carrier, no gas tube, charging handle on the left side), on a P80 lower that I machined a coupla' months ago. I know the rules: if I can't show a photo, it didn't happen. It's not finished, but it's at least starting to look like something! I'm sure there's a more appropriate sub-forum here to start talking about builds, but I just wanted to establish my bona fides. 😉

I'm looking forward to chatting with ya'll!
All my best,
Dirty Bob
Welcome to the forum. Sit back, kick your feet up and join any convo ya like. Ask question and give suggestions. This build is looking great. I've wanted to do a Han Solo build for some time now. Can't wait to see how yours turns out.
JettaMan OUT!
I forgot to add: the avatar I'm using is from the 1997 film "Suicide Kings," with Denis Leary holding the suppressed Glock. I like the movie quite a bit, and I'm kind of a movie nut. I like to freak people by telling them that "Twilight" is one of my favorite films. It is, but I like the one from 1998, with Paul Newman, Gene Hackman, Susan Sarandon, James Garner, Reese Witherspoon (I think it's the only film where she did a topless scene), M. Emmett Walsh, and more! As far as the "other" Twilight, vampires should only sparkle when we set them on fire.
Also, I added more details on the above pistol -- including a parts list -- in the AR-15 forum.
Gracias!
Dirty Bob
