So to get the black frames back to a deep black we need to use the Glade multi surface correct? Do you just need to soak it or soak and polish. I’m not looking for a mirror finish but want the deep black on the sanded/polished areas as I want to do my entire frame but want to work the kinks out on the rails and channel.

I used the fingernail sanding pads too!! BUT my wife found them, now I don't have them anymore. HOW TO CONTROLL JB WELD? Use JB Weld on the top slide is the easiest part of the frame to control. Just put tape on each side and you can keep JB Weld from running down and all over the frame. Just make sure your frame is horizontal and level. Let JB Weld set for about 2 hours and you can form it like puddy, just wet the tip of your finger, and pat it in place. With the area you are working on the frame I would just let it set over night then sand.

use some very fine finger nail fill boards from Iridesi one set of boards is 240/320 on one side and 1000/3000 on the other, the other boad is 100/180 and 240/600, they come in sets of 12. use a file on top of the board (metal removing about half in wide fine finishing) to keep it even across both sides of the frame will shine like a mirror.

That’s what I pretty much did. Maybe I need to hit with 1500 and 2000 grit sand paper.

Meguiar's ultimate black (plastic restorer) this is what I use. If you all read have sanded to the finish you are looking for, use a soft cloth to rub it in, and let it sit for a few minutes then rub it off with a clean cloth. The finish you have will determine how shinny it gets. I rougher finish will give you a flat look a finer finish will give you a stain finish.
