So, I put a Steel City on my ladies piece and I love it. However, I do not love the $80 tag on it. I am a 100% function over fashion kinda person but I do like Gucci/bouji shit. Seriously why are magwells more $$ than any-other part? My thoughts: Black to match slide and accouterments Or Silver to match BBl and Mag extension (silver on silver might geek me out) My conundrum, black would be a poly and silver would need to be a type of metal.

Its whats on my p80 frame in the picture above. Link below: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1018959587/ That's awesome! I'll keep that in mind for my next build. I will admit: for under $30 i had my doubts, but it was been great. Quality, fit & finish are awesome & its holding up. I would choose this part again.

I used this one on my Pf940c “DeadPool” build and the fitment is great $15.02. It’s a knockoff, but I can’t remember the original maker. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Aluminum-Glock ... 632-2357-0

"Borrow" the one from your ladies piece. You know...for testing.

Right there with you. I love Steel City magwells, but I can't bring myself to pay that much for a magwell. I ended up getting one from Strike Industries for my current (first) build. If I end up not liking it, I might go ahead and splurge though.

If I'm going to carry one its flat black on black, but for a range shooter bring on the bling!! I am just guessing here but the reason magwells cost so much, has to do with the number of set-ups that has to be changed on the CNC center and the machine that the manufacture is using.

Black Poly if you want it to be affordable. I wish I could answer about the aluminum counterparts but I totally agree with you.
