So I finally got and installed the Switch trigger. So far, not a fan and it leaves me with some troubleshooting to do.
I retrofitted it into a 17 build that had a stock OEM glock trigger that worked just fine, except...you know stock glock, 7.5 lb pull.
The Switch didn't work worth a damn. Never seen these issues before. Very difficult to get the striker to break, and the slide "rocks" a bit when you pull on the trigger. Reset is very long, and then a very long pull to maybe get it to break again.
I checked the connector and it's factory bend is WAY inward, so I bent it back out to where I think it should be. Little better, but still not functional. I think the problem is in how they modified the vertical extension, which is pretty radical. They send a new DLC safety plunger that is rounded off nicely, but it seems like the vertical extension is still hanging up on the safety plunger. Not sure how to fix that.
I put the old trigger back in, but I changed out the trigger shoe with a Ranger Proof shoe (mistake - I should have tried it stock first). Two new issues with the RP shoe.
The trigger safety doesn't work. It's not long enough on the back to fully engage the frame. So when you check the trigger safety, it fires. So, I gotta call RP and see if they can send me a new safety.
It fires on reset. I've seen this before, but can't remember what fixed it. Most likely some connector tweaking, but it's wierd that the only thing changed was the shoe.
How many times have you thought, hey, I'm just gonna have a little fun and make a couple of upgrades, only to end up with a steaming pile of shit?
Not sure why the RP shoe wouldn't work with an OEM bar but yeah Andy will get you straight. As far ad the rest...I'd be sending that trigger back. Just my opinion. Wow!
