I have to warn against them maybe 2 out of 4 of my firing pins from them have snapped they replaced one with an OEM one. Waiting for a response they seem to break around 300 rounds
I could be incorrect on this but a buddy of mine had several issue with their kits (more than two). We never got a straight answer but I have a feeling that they are repackaging Lone Wolf parts, which would make since on the snapped strikers at least. Don't get me wrong, I buy SOME PARTS from Lone Wolf but their QC does kinda suck and they have known about the brittle strikers for a long time now.
@1791 bill of rightsI have one of their kits on a G17 build. It only has about 50-75 rounds through it thus far with four brands of ammo. One of the issues I have with it is that dry firing the weapon, it has a very springy toyish sound to it coming from the upper firing pin spring and firing pin. The lower parts kit is mostly OEM (other than locking block and pins) and the RSA is OEM, but the internal upper parts are USPA.Having said this, the gun works like a champ. It hasn't missed a beat since I first test fired it. And you don'tnotice the springy sound or behavior when firing it. Only when dry firing. Trigger pull seems normal and everything internally is spit shined andpolished with Flitz and Mothers. One other thing during my build. The tolerances were so tight with barrels and slides that snap caps would jam.https://www.amazon.com/ZOOM-15116-Luger ... 999&sr=8-3I put calipers to all my live rounds in various flavors and compared them to the snap caps and the snap caps wereslightly fatter in diameter and also the back flared rim of the cartridge was every so slightly larger than a live round. All of this was enough to cause the snap caps to jam feeding into the barrel. However, not a single live round has failed. You could physically feel the difference in friction when manually sliding a snap cap round between the lip of the extractorwhen the slide was removed. It was a very tight fit. I tried several extractors and all were tight. So, this probably hasnothing to do with USPA extractors. The cobbler's shoes have holes and I haven't built my other P80s yet, so I don't have anything to compare it to yet.So, I have a question:Is the springy toyish sound normal when dry firing with these plastic P80s?It is definitely not a snappy click, metallic sound like most handguns I've used.I have always wondered if it was the USPA UPK.I am so swamped with work that I have back burnered my other builds, four more are in the pipeline. I spent the past year buying parts andhave a lot of work to do with ARs and P80s. So, it may be awhile before I have another P80 to compare the springy sound to.Thanks for any input y'all can offer.
