I use a lot of Tyrant parts with their gen 4-5 magazine release being one of my favorites, but they don't fit a P-80.
So, this is how I do mods on a PF940v2 and PF940c to fit a gen 4-5 magazine release. This is something you need to take your time and plan it out before you start just because of the detail involved.
First, I do the mod to the frame. You will have to take out material on one side and add JB Weld on the other
Here you can see where to add JB Weld. I use tape to make a mold to hold JB Weld. Make your mold bigger then you need and sand to fit perfect.

Here you can see that you will have to cut to fit. The way I do this is to use a hand compos blade that is not in the hand saw.
This way I get a clean cut on both sides, then with a sharp #11 razor blade, I score until I get a clean cut.

I know this sounds scary but if you screw up all this can be fixed with JB Weld.
The next step is to modify the magazine release, this is where you have to be careful.
you have to lengthen the slot in the mag release because the mag spring is located differently from the mag release for a p-80-gen 3. The top is a modified Tyrant mag release the bottom is an original.

This is the most important thing to remember about doing a mod on your mag release, You need to keep the channel the same size because the way the spring sets in the cannel is how its held in place.

I like this mod a lot, I've done this to four of my builds and will in the future.

I use a small carbide burr to cut this cannel, then follow up with a Dimond burr of clean up. The best way to do this woukd be with a drill press and x-y vise.

I'm all ways thinking about ways to work with JB Weld. You can do anything to a frame with the stuff.
