1903 Springfield

This is my late season deer rifle.

She was given to my back in the 80s with military stock. It looked to me like it was brand new, with a perfect Parkerizing finish. I turned it into a sport rifle in the 90s, I sanded off the Parkerizing and refinished in a gun blue.

My stepfather told me he paid $25 for it at a Great Lakes Naval base surplus sell back when they could still sell to civilians. she has taken a few deer over the years.
