Here at Hawkeye Customs, I've just finish two slides.

Sig 320 slide with flat black paint and a G26 slide.

Sig has just over 25 hours of hand polishing. I took me longer because of the finished paint. The SC didn't take as long being that I polished the whole slide and didn't have to work around paint. The SC will have some blasted skulls on it, I'll have some pictures when I finish this slide.
Got around to finishing my SC today.
I went with sandblasting instead of etching.
When etching I think it looks better on a painted slide but for that Suttle look that has you looking twice on a polished surface, sandblasting is the way to go.
Incredible work. You have an incredible amount of patience
The reason I took pictures on my stencil cutting board is to show off just what a real high polish should look like. It's a mirror finish. When you see polished slides for sale they don't show you that, just a shiny picture. Most of these are done on a buffing wheel and will show lines under lights. You need at least an 8x power head set and look under light in different directions to fine any lines. That is how hard it is to find them on my work.
You do fantastic work sir. I appreciate it.
Gorgeous!
