Has anybody else run across this issue? I think my Dremel HS 17/64 bit may be slightly over sized. It makes great holes, but the trigger pin is very loose. Unfortunately, I drilled 4 frames before checking the fit. As long as the slide release catches the groove in the pin, it seems ok, but has a tendency to walk if not.

This is why I started drilling holes under size and then open them up to size using a bit in a hand vise. With the bits that came with a fame, it gave me a bad wobble too, so now I do the under-size holes, so I have more control. It takes me longer, but I get straight polished holes every time.

My bad. Yes, I meant the 5/32 bit. I think I found the problem. I've got both the 5/32 brad point bit and the 4mm brad point. I inspected them both and the 4mm bit has a slight wobble in the shank when rolling it on a flat surface. The 5/32 bit seems pretty straight. Both bits measure 3.92mm. Rook dimpled pin measures 3.99mm. Trigger pin hole measures 4.02mm. I'm thinking I must have grabbed the 4mm bit and used it on the holes. The bit is definitely going in the trash. Probably the whole set. Now I have to decide whether to JB weld the holes and re-drill. Or maybe just put a dimple on the holes. Or do nothing.

I hope you mean 5/32nd bit (I'm sure you do because thats whats used for the 4mm trigger pin hole) but if I'm incorrect and you're referring to the slightly smaller than 3mm hole made by the 7/64th bit, then I recall having the issue once but it was my pin that was the problem. All the others have been very snug because it should be smaller than the 3mm pin which is why we hand thread the 3mm bit, that comes with the frame, to open it up. Maybe yous is slightly bent or wasn't correctly seated in the dremel?
