So, like the rest of you guys, I’m very particular about my firearms- both fit, function & looks. I did a lot of the internals with Titanium Nitride coated parts, but I am bored with the RMR plate screws I chose, so I went back to the black DLC screws. Anyone else change stuff up like this occasionally? It’s a little thing, but the little things are what gnaw at me the most.

That is a really nice barrel, All thou I don't have one YET they will be the next barrel I buy. They just look tough, They add a lot of style to your build and when they are painted up in a two tone style they will pop!

So….i did a thing. In the future I plan on doing my tax stamp and getting a can. Needed a way to mount it. A while back i had asked if anyone had taken a chance on grmtac.com and no one had yet. I noticed on ninex19.com’s official instagram page that they are an *official* vendor. When i went to the site, i noted you can use paypal so any transaction is pretty risk free. I decided to give it a shot. Look what arrived today:

I went with a black and FDE color scheme. I didn't cerakote anything, but I have different parts in each color. After having it built for a year or two, I got to looking at it one day and decided I needed to change a few things. I sold the Vortex Strikefire and Vortex magnifier and bought a Vortex Sparc. Swapped out the standard GI dust cover that was etched with Molon Labe and put on an FDE dust cover from Strike Industries. I'll be swapping out the mag catch, bolt release, take down and pivot pins, and muzzle device as soon as I can get all of my tools unpacked. I also swapped out the MOE+ grip for the MOE+ K grip. I started to notice the regular grip was making my wrist hurt a bit when shooting for long periods. Put the K grip on there and it feels much better. I know exactly what you mean! For lower take down pins, i HIGHLY recommend the Yankee Hill Machine EZ Pivot pins. Like $17 dollars and an amazing upgrade! I thought about getting the YHM pins, but I decided not to. I might try them out on my 300blk build though. I got the Strike Industries magwell too. Some ppl like them, some don't. It looks like it fits pretty good to your frame. That's the biggest complaint I've heard about them is some fit and some don't depending on if it's for a Glock or P80. For the price, I couldn't pass it up to try it out. Im a huge fan of the YHM pins! Theres a Sig Romeo 5x on this rifle now, & a diff Odin works mag release but otherwise the same as when this picture was taken.

Nah Ram it’s all good!!! Tbh Strike hasn’t had the P80 magwell out for very long and a lot of people forget it even exists.

WE4PONXYZ wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 3:07 pmI believe he’s using the one Strike Industries makes specifically for P80’s. Not to be confused with the one they make for Strike 80’s. You can tell cause it doesn’t have the S80 marking on the side of it. Fitment doesn’t look bad honestly. A little gap in the back strap but not terrible. SHIT! I STAND CORRECTED! Gotta be mo careful...and observant.

That's the biggest complaint I've heard about them is some fit and some don't depending on if it's for a Glock or P80.... Well the Strike 80 Magwells were specifically designed for the Strike 80 frame, not OEM glock or PF940 series of frames. IMO if you buy something that's not designed to fit and it doesn't fit then that complaint is moot. Ive never had a Strike 80 magwell not fit a Strike 80 frame. As you can see, it's not a perfect fit on his frame but as he said, he's happy with it and that's what counts.

What I mean is a frame is a frame and a slide is a slide but what makes them eye catching, color change different pins. Color changes on things like mag release and slide lock and yes just a change of screws can add that eye catching thing. Take a quick look at CopperHead, first you see the framework and the then paint the as your eye moves up to the slide your eye catches on the milling done on the slide, it's all out of the ordinary. Now when I look at CopperHead my eye gos right to the millwork on the slide and the color change that it adds to the build. It's all about the little things that make a build pop!! This is just me; I have a tendency to over think stuff a lot. Thank you for noticing sir. I strive to be extra-ordinary.
