As I discussed tonight in the live here is the MacGuyver nose droop fix. I had some photos setup for the stream but somebody dropped the ball, probably me

Used this to fix the front droop on a Strike80 for a friend and tighten up the gap on my PF940c.
Tools:
Trigger Clamp
Blowdryer
Take your trigger clamp and a blow dryer. With the slide on the frame and the c-clamp/trigger clamp, tightened firmly on the very front “front sight, rail mount”. Put the blowdryer on high and heat up the frame just behind the metal serial plate from all angles then let it cool. I tossed them in the freezer with the clamp on it afterwards but you can just let it air cool if you want. Take off clamps once cooled, check the gap and repeat if needed.

A good way to gauge if you’ve heated it up enough is to hold the frame by the clamp, with the trigger on the clamp held down with your finger soo it’s nice and tight. Also allows you to move the gun around to heat it up evenly. When your hands start getting too hot or you can feel the metal on the clamp start getting too hot you should be good. Remember you’re not storming Normandy with a flamethrower, and you’re not making P80 Soufflé.
If you planning on using a heat gun instead here are some things to keep in mind.
It was determined by contacting Polymer 80 that the max temperature to heat the frame without doing any damage is 225 degrees F. And when using anything hotter than a hair dryer, you really do need a temp gauge so that you do not exceed 225 degrees.

At the time I originally had done the photo for the write up, my good friend whom the Strike 80 belongs to was waiting on some parts soo I had tossed my slide on his frame as to not spoil his reveal. This is his Murder Hornet build and it’s exquisite!!

You can also use zip ties as well if you don’t have a trigger clamp, just be careful not to over tighten/heat as it could cause indents. With zip ties you can also tighten the gap from back to front. If you end up with an over exaggerated gap wich happens from time to time.
