Started this build yesterday.

Passed all the function test, now strip down to start all the custom stuff.

This one is going to have a walnut grip.
Much easier than the antler grip because it is easier to cut thin strips of walnut.
I sanded .035 off each side of the frame, walnut is just less than 1/8th. After I do some more shaping and fiting on the walnut, if needed I can sand more off. This will feel like the original grip size.
Still has a ways to go with frame mods and molding in the magwell that I'll get to in the new year.
Finished build
The width of this grip is less than that of a PF45 and only .100ths wider than stock P80.
If anyone interested in d something like this just ask questions.
VERY nice! I'm totally geeking out on your pin holes of all things 😆 And the color variation you got on the stippling is sweet!
Its cold and snowing so what do I do?
work on my new builds.
Painting finished.
I mixed a light flat tan with some magpul tan, then added some clear pearl. This what came out. I kinds like it, it is a creamy look with pearl sparkles.
Before starting stippling I meltrd in tabs to cover the magwell screw hole.
Next I'll melt all the fatory stippling flat getting ready for my pattern.
This is something I haven't tried but it turns out, it is a lot easier and faster then removing fatory stippling by sanding.
I love the color a true custom color. Stippling turn out great.
I thought the bone would be the best but this walnut is going to take the show I think.
Next step finish the walnut and start fitting parts.
