I got this frame on a deal and then lucked up on the Gray ghost precision sale. The frame is cobalt and I'm torn between leaving it as is or dying it black. To be kind of honest i kind of like the color combination but I'm just not sure. So I'm gonna be in the market for a upper parts kit. What are some of the better options that won't break the bank. A $100 or less I guess it's what I'm looking for. Also what do you think would go good with the slide as far as color combinations for the mag release, trigger and pins? I really don't like anything that's super Gucci but I would like to try to Spice it up just a tad. Also in the picture there are 2 space replacements that were sent with the slide has anybody got a clue what they are used for? I think it would be safe to say that they're used for different types of red dots. Also the cover plate for the RMR does that use one of these spacer plates or does it go on by itself?

I like this slide! My taste in slides have changed, it seems like on small frame builds I am liking solid slides without windows. Just me but I would paint the frame black to match the slide and stipple the grip in the cobalt. This is one combo I haven't built yet.

Well all that is left is to find a decent RMR cover plate and get some sights. I got the kids together for a family photo.

I got the slide together this morning and and the only problem that I had was putting the RMR cover on. I had to do quite a bit of work to the screws to keep them from bottoming out. I was having issue with it locking up the extractor plunger. Of course I couldn't wait to get it on the frame which hasn't been milled out yet so I just put it on another P80 SC that I had an MDX slide on.

I just ordered my upper parts kit for this slide, I went with a Zaffiri precision upk. I also used their coupon code TGIF and it's still working for 15% off.

I've installed 4 sets on 17/19s, with a couple more waiting in the wings, and they all require a sight pusher, no set screw on the rear sight. I think all of the big dots from them install the same way no matter which which model you have. The R3D/Minimalist is the only one that uses a site pusher for glock. https://youtu.be/x5XiEwfQi1I Here's a couple of mine installed. They're the DXT2 and just realized it might be the suppressor height and don't use set screws, instructions require a sight pusher which I used. Yes you are correct the suppressor height are press fit according to their video. https://youtu.be/OvzaMtfQ4fI

If I had to complain about one thing it would be the dove tail for the rear sight. If I was adding a site that had to be drove in with a punch or a pusher I would be a little concerned. I'm going to use the XS big dot sights. With this brand of sight you slide it into place and use 2 Allen screws to secure it. Then you add Red locktite to all of the joints to set it in place. Whats wrong with Cobalt and black. I am glad I did the 26 build I really like it but only with g19 mags + x grip https://zaffiriprecision.com/product/gl ... n-3-and-4/ UPK but I would suggest piecing together one

Personally, I'd keep the frame as is. It's a nice contrast. If it was mine, I'd go with black controls and pins to match the slide. Also, your magazine will blend right in. If you want to add some subtle spice, maybe go with a Tyrant Designs mag release and slide release. D*** I usually proof read better than that. I meant upper parts kit. I just answered my own question, I went back and looked at the Web page and the shims are used for the different optics.
