If you’re using brand new mags, try fully loading them and letting them sit for a few days then empty and reload again (rinse/repeat). Sometimes the spring tension is just too high and will cause this with newer mags. On my most recent build G26 even after doing this I still had issues with my mag being hard to get seated kinda stiff ( requiring a hard slap). Sooo I just smacked my mag into the firearm like 50 times and the issues went away. You could see where the slide release meets the mag had been worn down relieving the pressure between the two. “Tolerance stacking between the mag follower and the slide release catch essentially.” I could have done this by removing material but if you remove too much then you could run into problems with the slide not locking back on empty. Better to let the parts adjust themselves in that case as I did.Edit: I didn’t have issues on mine with it locking back with a round still in the mag. However I recognized that it could have.
