I started to work on mine my PF940SC tonight and I realize that my Fret cutter is too wide. I cut the rear tabs and then went to the front and it's a no go. I have the Hosco TL-FC190. Does anyone have an Amazon link to the correct size for the front tabs on AG26?

Looks like a good job now you're hooked I would say so my 1st build was a 80% arms arms G19 size this is the 2nd build a polymer 80 G26. I have 2 more G26 1 single stack and 1 G17 to build. I'm looking for a P80 G19 frame, something about the gst9-mod1 I don't like. Rocky Brass has G17, G19 and G26 frames in various colors. Prices are $119 to $139. New ATF rule takes effect August 24th.

They have been out for a while now but you just don't here many people talking about them so I decided to pass on them.

I want to change out the sights for some Big Dot night sight and get a new trigger set up. Maybe even a RMR for it but I'm not sold on the idea on such a small pistol. Stunning. Good job sir.

I gotta say while the fret cutter and rotary tool are timer savers. Using a regular set of files really doesn't take that long 10 to 20 minutes.

Bitterroot flush end snips / nippers. Google that

I've had pretty good luck with the fret cutters lately. But only the Hosco cutters. Cut as close as I can then just use sanding sticks to finish. But yeah, for the front tabs on the SC frame I use the carving bits with the frame in the jig. Then finish as usual.

Seriously though not sure how many builds you’ve done but the carving tip I’ve suggested is fucking awesome!!! I’ve done several builds using the fret cutter method and half rounds files etc. The last build I did was my G26 and I whent to go use the fret cutter and well we know that don’t work. Soo I busted out the carving tip as a few other builders have suggested in the past and gawd damn!!! I’m never not gonna use it again. It’s also a great way to avoid the discolored pressure lines quite often left behind from the fret cutters on the tab sections.

by sailman » Sat May 07, 2022 10:21 pm I think I found the information that I needed in MGB's G43 bill video. In the video he uses a smaller cutter (Knipex) He says it will work for the g26 and g43 size frames. The blade width on the Hosco is about 1 3/16 in (26 mm)and the Knipex is 1 in. (25.4 mm).

Pro tip you can do most of it with the frame still in the jig, lessens the chances of oooops ahhh fuck!!!

The front cutter is too wide to cut the front tab it will get into other polymer parts that does not need to be cut off. The fret cutter is so wide that if I use it I will be cutting part of the channel off is channel off as well. If I run the fret cutter all the way up to where the channel needs to be cut it will cut the tab right past the new past the part that needs to be cut off. I remember MGB talking about this in one of his videos but I can't find that video. Oh ok. I haven't done a G26 but it looks like We4ponXYZ got you covered. Cool beans.

Wish I could help you out brother, I used a x-acto blade to score one of my front tabs all the way around till there wasn’t much left holding it to the frame then pulled it off with a pliers. I then used that tab in my vice to get the correct pressure control/how fast it removed material down pat to remove all of my other tabs and channel wall with a dremel carving tip. I will never do another build without it, such a time saver. You can get a two pack at your local hardware store Home Depot/ Menards etc. for about $10-$12
Dremel go Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!
